My family is looking to move to FBN health insurance from a provider we have had for over 20 years. We are concerned about the following:
1. Are there representatives knowledgeable and helpful if you have a claim?
2. If we would have an illness or accident shortly after the change will they pay or will they claim pre-existing condition.
3. Disclosed past injury in application from years past has unforeseen new complication will insurance claim pre-existing condition and not pay.
In general has anyone experienced medical issues shortly after changing policy and had trouble with coverage or claims representative assistance.

I could not recommend them. Paid the whole policy up front. Continued to get bills. Was dropped once, reinstated, and had a small claim which they did not pay until the fight. It was a complete night mare. I think they had some sort of court battle the year I was in it.

Don"t do it. We had the same experience as ***** in SD. You get what you pay for. Cheap insurance is cheap for a reason. When you really need it, they figure out a way to get out of paying. Not a good experience for us.

I was extremely disappointed that they declined to quote my family and I this year...was one benefit of membership that I very much looked forward to. Not only did they no quote me, they had no interest in discussing why.
Our operation switched to fbn health last March. Our premiums went from $2400 a month to $1100 per month for the same coverage, or so we thought. The coverage is cheap for a reason. My dad and I were in a bad car accident in December with many medical bills. FBN health is denying coverage since the accident was caused by a third party. The third party didn't have car insurance so we are stuck payi...

I just signed up my family. It was a pleasant experience with very knowledgeable representatives. My family was facing a BCBS plan of $2900/month. We signed up with FBN health for $1100/month which included vision and dental which BCBS did not have included.

Who is the company the under wrights the insurance for FBN?

It is actually ****** out of Wichita, KS. A very reputable mid-size TPA. They do the underwriting and have reinsurers behind them...pretty standard practice. Midlands Choice is a provider network. Insurance companies contract with provider networks to get certain rates for services. Disclaimer - I work for FBN, created FBN Health and I am a FBN farmer member.
I've been told that Midlands Choice under wrights the policies.
I’ve been using for about 10 months seems to work ok. Just have had normal kid sickness so nothing major. Doctor office complained a little at first about slow pay but haven’t had any complaints lately
We were declined coverage due to preexisting condition.

Prices don’t compete with what my state has to offer.
We have had a VERY good experience and saved over $35k in premiums for our farming operation! Real dollars!

How long til they will have coverage in MN? That's what I'm wondering

They were supposed to be able to quote it at farmer to farmer but still waiting for the state. Call your state representative ?
We have had 2 families on it for about 10 months. They have had several minor claims that were handled with no problems. The plan we selected was very similar in coverage to our old one but the savings were considerable.
It was definitely worth the switch.

The representatives are knowledgeable and claims are handled as efficiently as possible. However, if issues arise, please reach out to your broker for their help. Regarding pre-existing conditions, as long as you disclose any past injuries or illnesses on your application, they should be covered. If you have further questions, they would welcome a conversation, their phone number is (877)892-3303.

They told me depending on the preexisting condition, they may decline you coverage. They are not required to take these people like other policies.
